idaho's contractor registration law and washington's contractor registration law
the idaho contractor registration law, enacted in 2006, states that all building contractors and subcontractors in idaho must register with the idaho bureau of occupational licenses. if a contractor fails to register they lose the right to place a lien on property or to sue to collect payment. they also may be charged with a misdemeanor criminal offense. in washington, if a contractor fails to register, a fine could be assessed and the project they are working on shut down. bredeson law group can help you determine your contractor registration requirements and navigate through the application or renewal process.
